## Knowledge graphs
_Oscillations_ is actively experimenting with using knowledge graphs as platforms for research, collaboration and publication. Our hypothesis is that directed knowledge graphs allow for the simulation of a generic space, or collider, to experiment and “cook” with the materials of anthropology – its language, artifacts and methods – and forms of thought in general.
By engaging with semantic web and graphic technologies, _Oscillations_ aims to introduce, or enhance, a constructive and, broadly speaking, diagrammatic element into anthropology. These technologies allow us to show and do cosmology and ethnography as "networked thought," to expand the range of formalisms available at its disposable.
At the moment, we are experimenting [Roam Research](https://roamresearch.com/) for collaboration, and [Obsidian](https://obsidian.md/) for publication.
## Continuous publication model
_Oscillations_ follows a “Continuous Article Publication” (CAP) model, meaning that we publish articles as soon as they are ready. CAP allows for "just in time" processing and publication.
## Issues
_Oscillations_ curates published materials in relation to a variety of open [[Issues]]. “Issues,” here, refers to different themes, conversations, or problems; and not to serial publication. This allows us both to keep “issues” open for re-engagement, and also place material in multiple “issues.”
## Genre and Style
_Oscillations_ is open to a variety of discursive modalities and genres: Non-standard literary and multimedia forms; cosmo- and science-fiction; ethnographic invention; research notes; interviews and reviews; poetry, incantation and code.
